Refund Policy at Privacy: can I cancel my purchase?
We understand that people change their minds 🧡 But it is important to know that, at Privacy, not all content allows refunds — and we explain the reason to you with transparency and legal basis.
What does the Consumer Protection Code say?
Article 49 of the Consumer Protection Code (CDC) guarantees the right of withdrawal within 7 days for purchases made outside physical stores — such as websites and apps.
However, there is an important detail: this right does not apply to digital content delivered immediately, which cannot be returned after access.
This means that instant consumption info products — like the content published by creators on Privacy — are not covered by the withdrawal rule.
What does this mean in practice?
- As soon as the payment is confirmed, the content is released immediately 💨;
- For this reason, it is not possible to request a refund or chargeback after the purchase;
- By completing the transaction, the subscriber agrees to immediate access to the content and waives the right of withdrawal, as provided by law.
💡 This rule is in accordance with the CDC and follows the same practices adopted by other digital content platforms in Brazil.
